We developed specially synthesized fabrics to block mosquitos from reaching the skin. The Vector Textiles base layer garment (developed at NC State) is made of a special “H” fabric, an ultra-fine synthetic polymeric knit with pores so small that a mosquito’s proboscis cannot poke through. Shirts meeting our research tested standards were made up of a double layer of the H fabric with our special “S” fabric on areas where you are most likely to sweat. Our unique S fabric contains a thicker back layer to absorb sweat, combined with a more open front layer to allow for airflow, leaving you with a refreshing cooling effect. We have combined innovative protection technology with the desire for comfort and durability, making apparel meeting our standards perfect for all outdoor needs.
